The Colorado Chapter offers several opportunities throughout the year for education and continuing education credits (CEU’s). Bi-monthly chapter meetings, hosted by different jurisdictions throughout the state, always include some type of education offering.
The Chapter hosts a week long Educational Institute each year in March that is considered the premier educational event of its type in the country. The Educational Institute offers a wide variety of courses for code officials, building and fire department personnel as well as building contractors and design professionals. Educational Institute faculty includes some of the top instructors from throughout the country and cover topics ranging from technical code and engineering to customer service and legal aspects.
In addition to the regularly scheduled chapter meetings and the Educational Institute the Chapter occasionally offers or sponsors other training opportunities throughout the year based on need and availability.
All of our trainings offer great opportunities to stay up to date with current codes and ever changing construction processes and materials as well as the opportunity to earn CEU’s towards certification renewal.
Our long term goal is to familiarize and educate jurisdictions on the benefits of building safety.
