Legislative Committee

The Legislative Committee monitors the state legislature while it is in session.  The legislature is convened for 120 days. The Committee identifies bills that would directly or indirectly affect how local government building departments operate. It reviews the proposed bills and makes a determination of the time and energy spent on bill to monitor, propose amendments and/or testify for or against certain bills. The Committee works with the Colorado Municipal League, Colorado Counties, Inc. and other organizations.

The General Assembly convened January 8, 2025 and is scheduled to adjourn May 7, 2025.

Contact Eric Fried or Andre Jaen to make the Legislative Committee aware of legislation you are working on.
