The Town of Castle Rock has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Combination Building Inspector in our Development Services department. Under general supervision of the Building Inspections Supervisor, inspects commercial and residential buildings to ensure compliance with minimum requirements of adopted building codes, plans, specifications and Town of Castle Rock ordinances. Advises property owners, architects, builders and engineers on matters regarding building code compliance and zoning ordinances. Employees in this class perform professional and technical level work. Performs duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.


Qualifications generally include a high school diploma; supplemented with 3 years of progressively responsible construction job site experience; or project management skills; and 4 years of experience in the building trades or any equivalent combination is required. Must hold three (3) ICC certifications or a State of Colorado Electrician or Plumbers license with ability to obtain ICC Combo certification within 18 months. Leadership experience is preferred. A valid Colorado driver’s license required for accessing inspection sites. Successful candidate must satisfactorily complete a driving record check and criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
