The Role
The position of Electrical Inspector will fit an individual who has strong expertise and knowledge in the electrical field that will ensure our company’s projects and initiatives are executed to the highest safety and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine inspections of all electrical installations and equipment for compliance with locally adopted codes and standards.
• Perform building and mechanical code inspections after adequate training and ICC certifications.
• Review and examine electrical plans and specifications for compliance with codes and regulations.
• Document all inspection results and maintain records in a systematic manner using CCI’s software.
• Identify and suggest solutions for electrical faults and irregularities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Attend code classes to maintain certifications and electrical licenses either in person or electronically.
• Reports to the Chief Building Official.
• This is a non-supervisory position.

Job Expectations
This person would be available and responsive Monday through Friday during business hours (excluding personal vacation and holidays) to perform inspections as assigned by the Chief Building Official. Employees are expected to be self-motivated and follow through on tasks assigned with minimal supervision.

Key Skills and Experience Required
Experience and Training:
• Qualified candidates must possess a current Master or Journeyman Electrical License issued by the State of Colorado Electrical Board.
• A minimum of 3 years as an electrical inspector or related role is a prerequisite.
• A professional certification through ICC as a commercial electrical inspector is required or must be capable of obtaining this certificate within six months of hire.
• ICC Building Inspector and ICC Mechanical Inspector certification is required or needs to be obtained within 1 year.
• Candidate can obtain other ICC certifications as directed by the CBO.

License and Certificates:
• Electrical License from State of CO.
• ICC Certification for Commercial Electrical Inspector.
• Possession of valid Colorado driver’s license.

Job Details
• Regular, Full-time
• Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000 annually, depending on qualifications.

• Sick Leave/ Paid Vacation. 40 hours of sick leave annually as well as 40 hours of vacation/personal time during the first year, and additional hours depending on the number of years with CCI. Vacation hours that aren’t used will be paid out in December.

• Continuing Education. CCI will reimburse employee for the cost of taking and passing any ICC certification exams that will benefit the company. Pre- approval from CBO is required.
