Combination Inspector I – II

The City of Littleton is looking for a Combination Inspector I – II. The Combination Inspector performs inspections of buildings and structures to verify compliance with the International Building Codes.  These inspections include those for buildings under construction and/or undergoing remodeling.  Building types include commercial, industrial and residential.

Hiring Salary Range:
Combination Inspector I: $22.02 – $27.50
Combination Inspector II: $25.29 – $31.59

Education, Formal Training & Experience:
Requires high school diploma or equivalent; and
Requires possession of an ICC (International Code Council) Building Inspector Certificate, or a Master Electrician License or a Master Plumbers License upon hire;
Requires possession of a valid Colorado Driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated; or
Requires an equivalent combination of education, formal training, and work experience that produces the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of the position.

COMBINATION INSPECTOR I:

Requires 1-3 industry certifications or licenses.
Requires a minimum of one years’ previous work experience in building inspection, construction plans design, review, or inspection; construction or an inspection-related position; and

COMBINATION INSPECTOR II:

Requires 4 or more industry certifications or licenses and a minimum of 3 (three) years of progressive responsible experience as a combination building inspector.
