Plans Examiner I
The Plans Examiner I provides primary front counter assistance and guidance through the City’s permitting and inspection processes to customers of the Building Safety Division including contractors and citizens. The Plans Examiner I performs a wide variety of technical plan reviews for one and two-family dwellings and townhouses and associated residential accessory structures as well as alterations to existing residential buildings and structures. Plan review responsibilities intend to ensure all proposed residential construction projects comply with building, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, electrical and energy conservation provisions and also includes review responsibilities of residential site plans to ensure project location compliance with the Commerce City Land Development Code.
Plans Examiner II
The Plans Examiner II performs a wide variety of technical plan reviews of residential and non-residential buildings and structures including commercial and industrial buildings as well as alterations to existing buildings and structures. Plan review responsibilities intend to ensure all proposed construction projects comply with building, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, electrical, energy conservation and existing building code provisions and also include review responsibilities of site plans and utility plans.
